As much as I am in this world, I am infinately more submerged in the life of Christ. Keepin' it cross-centered and truthful.

Soooo I was browsing through reddit and I came upon this interesting comic with caption. Is it cause they’re scared? Is that the reason non-Christians simplify our beliefs into juvenile practices comparable to something so commonplace as a book club? I know that this comic only represents the small group of atheists who are incredibly ignorant about Christianity, but the concept of ignorance does blanket a large majority of non-believers and is exacerbated greatly by media and how Christians are portrayed.
I’m pretty sure the only people reading this are Christians or probably even only KCM’ers. But anyway I feel as though it would be nice to let people know what Christians believe and that we aren’t all crazy, judgmental, fanatics like Shirley from Community.
We believe that Jesus Christ is our lord and savior who was sent by God as both God and man to die on the cross for our sins. He rose again after three days to provide salvation to all those who believe in him.
This is the gospel that all who are “saved” submit to. I praise God for such a wonderful and, albeit seemingly simple, path to eternal salvation. If I were to read one book for the rest of my life, why not have it be the bible?
KCM emphasizes church and that it is essential for a Christian to have a local church that they attend. This comic is absolutely correct in saying that church is a book club. We read one book. We discuss one book. We live by one book. So what? It is God’s word and we learn to know him through this book
It is the “Christians” who violently condemn sinners and proclaim slanderous statements about others’ beliefs that falsely represent the Christian community. We understand that everyone struggles with sin, Christians too if not more. Condemnation and judgment do not reside within our rights as children of God.
Anyway, I guess the moral of the story is that God is good. He loves, gives grace, and is merciful to all ends. If I am given the opportunity to learn more about Him every Sunday, then I will.
